Function and filling method of polishing resin for ultra pure water equipment
Polishing resin is generally used at the end of ultrapure water treatment system to ensure that the effluent quality of the system can maintain the water standard. Generally, the resistivity of effluent quality can reach more than 18.25m Ω, and has certain control ability for TOC and SiO2. Good polishing resin can reach TOC < 5ppb, silica < 10ppb, and the resin model is mb-106up & mb-115. The ion types of polishing resin are h and oh types. It can be used directly after filling without regeneration. It is generally used in semiconductor industry.

The following points shall be noted during filling:
1. Polishing resin is composed of hydrogen type strong acidic cation exchange resin and hydrogen oxygen type strong alkaline anion exchange resin.
2. During the operation, if water needs to be added to facilitate filling, pure water must be used, and the water shall not be too much. At the same time, the water must be pumped out or drained immediately after the resin enters the resin tank to avoid resin stratification.
3. If you need to fill the resin by hand, be sure to wash your hands and do not bring the grease into the resin tank.
4. In case of resin replacement, the tank and water collector must be completely cleaned, and there shall be no old resin left at the bottom of the tank, otherwise these used resins will pollute the water quality.
5. The O-ring seal ring used must be replaced regularly. At the same time, the relevant parts and components must be checked during each replacement. If they are damaged, they must be replaced immediately. Check the water collector and remove it if it is blocked.
6. When FRP tank (fiber reinforced composite plastic) is used as resin bed, the water collecting pipe (central pipe and water distributor) shall be left in the tank before filling the resin. In the process of filling resin, shake the water collecting pipe from time to time. Finally, adjust the position of the water collecting pipe and install the upper cover.
7. If the resin is filled first, it will be difficult to insert the header. If it is necessary to fill the resin before inserting the water collecting pipe, place the FRP tank filled with resin horizontally on the ground, slowly roll the barrel tank to loosen the resin, and then slowly insert the water collecting pipe into the resin.
8. After the resin is filled and connected to the pipeline, open the vent at the upper end of the barrel tank first and slowly inject water until the vent overflows and no bubbles are generated, close the vent tightly and start water collection.
If the produced water is unstable after filling, check the cleanliness of pipeline connectors or the tightness of nitrogen sealed water tank.
