Selection and installation of water distributor for fully automatic water softening device
The main components of the fully automatic softened water equipment include automatic control valve, softened resin, softened filter, water distributor, regenerated salt tank, pipe valve components, etc. These components need to be scientifically, reasonably, and organically assembled into a precise whole in order to fully utilize the effectiveness of the water softener. 1、 Selection of water distributor
Select a suitable water distributor based on the diameter of the softening tank and the way and size of the opening. It is recommended to choose a water distributor with a central pipe for diameters below 500mm; For water distributors with a diameter of over 500mm, separate the upper and lower water distributors. Depending on the size of the water flow, choose a six claw or eight claw water distribution method. The main factors considered are the flux of water and the uniformity of water distribution.
2、 Material of water distributor
ABS or stainless steel, currently most water distributors are made of ABS material.
3、 Installation of water distributor and central pipe for softened water equipment
1. Use PVC adhesive to bond the central pipe with the water distributor seat;
2. Insert the bonded central tube into the resin tank;
3. Tighten the water distributor branch pipe onto the water distributor seat;
After the installation of the water distributor is completed, the central pipe should be vertically placed in the center of the exchange tank, and then the PVC pipe above the tank mouth plane should be cut off.
Place the resin tank in the selected position, firmly connect the central pipe and the lower water distributor with adhesive, and insert the central pipe into the resin tank with the lower water distributor facing downwards. The height of the central pipe and the lower water distributor should be flush with the tank opening. Cut off the excess central tube. Please note that the upper opening of the central tube should be smooth and free of burrs.
Resin is added to the resin tank and cannot be filled up. The space left is for resin backwashing, with a height of about 40% -60% of the resin layer height.
Install the upper water distributor on the central pipe, or fix the upper water distributor at the bottom of the control valve first. Note that no matter where the water distributor is placed, it should be ensured that it does not fall off and cause resin to escape.
Insert the center tube into the bottom of the control valve. Note that the center tube must pass through the O-ring inside, so that it can be coated with water insoluble lubricant and then screwed into the valve to avoid damaging the sealing ring. Fix the water distributor on the multi way valve.
Insert the central pipe and the multi way valve vertically into the resin tank without tilting, and then tighten the multi way valve.
4、 Installation precautions for water distributor
For those with a central tube, be careful not to let the resin run into the central tube when filling it. Secondly, be sure to ensure close contact with the O-ring of the controller after the central tube is installed; For water distribution with six or eight claws, a portion of quartz sand must be added as a cushion before filling resin to avoid the impact of water flow during equipment startup and shutdown, which may damage the water distributor and cause resin loss.
